| What Should You Do Before the New Trade Expansion in Grow a Garden? |
 |
Why Should I Stock Up on Shackles?
Shackles are going to play a crucial role in unlocking the brand-new portal in this update. If you’re a newer player, you’ll need a minimum number of shackles and a certain amount of playtime to even access the trade expansion.
From my experience, aiming for at least a billion shackles is a good start, but if you can manage 100 billion, you’ll be in a much better position. Even if you’re experienced, it’s wise to stock up now rather than scrambling later. It may feel grindy, but trust me, being prepared now will save you a lot of frustration once the expansion drops.
How Important Are Streaks With Trader Troy?
Trader Troy has been a central figure in Grow a Garden’s trading system, and the new update won’t change that. Your streak with him can significantly impact the rewards you receive. Currently, streak 12 gives the highest reward, but aiming even higher is smart if you can.
Submitting your items to Trader Troy consistently will ensure that you maximize your rewards. Think of it as a mini-investment: the more streaks you have, the more resources you’ll be able to leverage once the expansion is live.
Which Seeds Should I Prioritize?
Octabloom is still the top seed to target. Although it’s rare, there’s a strong chance it will appear during admin restocks before the update. If you haven’t secured one yet, now is the time. Using a Discord notifier or other tools to alert you when Octabloom is available can save a lot of time.
Additionally, don’t forget to keep an eye on seeds in the grow a garden items shop
. These restocks are your opportunity to grab rare items that could be crucial for trading once the new hub is active.
Should I Trade My Pets and Plants Now?
Absolutely not. The update introduces a new in-game currency, which acts similarly to Robux but can only be spent within Grow a Garden. This means holding onto your rare pets and plants is far more valuable than trading them now.
Tokens can be used to purchase exclusive items or new chests, so patience is key. Even if you’re tempted to make a quick trade, waiting until the tokens are available will likely be far more rewarding. Experienced traders might already know this, but newcomers should take it seriously.
How Do Mutations Affect Trading?
Mutations are critical in determining how much value your pets or plants have. A normal mimic octopus won’t fetch much in trade, but a nightmare Titanic mimic octopus can sell for significantly more.
It’s worth investing time in mutating your pets and rare plants. Each mutation boosts their trade value, making them far more desirable in the upcoming trading hub. For new players, checking out tutorials or the Grow a Garden wiki on mutations is a great way to start.
Are There Pets I Should Grab Before the Update?
Yes, the Pack Mule is a must-have. It’s easy to obtain, especially if you’ve maintained streaks above 12, and it adds a weight bonus to crafted pets. Essentially, it helps you grow bigger pets without any downside, which can be a game-changer in both trading and farming.
Given that this pet might be removed or replaced in the expansion update, securing as many as possible beforehand is a safe strategy.
How Can I Prepare for Admin Restocks?
Admin restocks are unpredictable but crucial. Rare seeds like Octabloom or Zebra Zinc can appear, and missing these could set you back significantly. Joining Discord servers that provide alerts for admin restocks or following YouTubers who stream these events is the best way to stay informed.
This is especially useful for grow a garden pets
since certain rare animals may only be available during these restocks. Being ready will give you a huge advantage over casual players.
