Step-by-Step Unlock Speedrun
If you want to get into the Festival Playlist as fast as possible, follow these steps carefully:
Complete the Initial Drive
The game’s introduction guides you through the mandatory starter sequence and lets you pick your first car. Make sure you follow it fully to trigger all necessary events.
Finish Map Races
Take on the first few circuit, dirt, or cross-country races marked on your map. These early events build your campaign progress quickly.
Unlock the Horizon Invitational
Progressing through the initial races will automatically trigger the Horizon Festival Qualifier, known as the Horizon Invitational.
Win the Yellow Wristband
Complete this qualifier cruise event, and you’ll earn your yellow wristband. This officially grants access to the main Horizon Festival and the  Festival Playlist
.
3 Tips to Speed Up Your Progress
Focus on Main Races
Skip optional side content like exploration events, photo challenges, or Drift Club missions. These activities don’t contribute to the yellow wristband progression.
Use High-Performance Cars
Select your best early vehicles to finish races quickly. Faster cars reduce race repetition and help you secure top finishes in one attempt.
Collect XP Boards & PR Stunts
While on your way to main races, smash Horizon XP boards and complete nearby PR stunts. They give extra points, speeding up leveling and performance rewards between key events.

Playlist Availability Notice
Once you’ve earned your yellow wristband, you’re set for the live playlist. Keep in mind:
Weekly Resets: Series playlists reset every Thursday. For instance, the first "Welcome to Japan" Series went live on May 21, 2026.
Advanced Multiplayer Events: Highly competitive events like The Trial in Series 2 may require further progression and a gold wristband.
