PoE 3.27 Legacy of Phrecia Event is back!
This event returns on January 29, 2026. As a special limited-time event, it incorporates numerous innovative mechanics, significantly altering the game's dynamics from the regular league, offering a fantastic opportunity to experience imaginative build combinations.
Whether you're a PoE player who has participated before or someone new to it, you should prepare in advance, such as understanding the mechanics and new content of the PoE 3.27 Legacy of Phrecia Event.
When does it start?
- Start Date: 1 PM January 29th PST (Jan 29, 2026 3:00 PM (CST))
- End Date: 1 PM February 19th PST (Feb 19, 2026 3:00 PM (CST))
The Legacy of Phrecia limited-time return event will only last about 20 days. Whether it will be extended depends on player feedback and the official response. Preparing early is always a good idea.
Which platforms does the Legacy of Phrecia event support?
Players can experience this event on PC and consoles. This event is based on the Keepers of the Flame mechanics, with modified gameplay. It's not a regular League and doesn't have empty voids, but characters and items can be transferred to the parent League after the event ends.
How to participate?
It's recommended to enter the game half an hour to an hour before the event starts and wait for the event window to appear before joining. Remember, you need to create a new Orange to participate.
What rewards will you get for participating in this event?
Legacy of Phrecia offers unique rewards: Mystery Boxes. A Third Edict Mystery Box is awarded upon reaching level 50 and 90. If the account already owns all items in the series, two Atlantis Mystery Boxes are awarded instead.
Legacy of Phrecia Event Gameplay Core
Legacy of Phrecia is a standalone league, meaning you'll need to create a new orange to participate.
1. Ascendancy Rewritten
In Legacy of Phrecia, all 19 original Ascendancy classes have been replaced with entirely new versions. These new Ascendancy classes often incorporate multiple design concepts, resulting in more innovative gameplay.For example:
- Servant of Arakaali - Summons spiders to assist in combat, built around webs and control.
- Daughter of Oshabi - Nature-based power theme, enhancing nature skills and survivability.
During the event, all existing awakenings will be temporarily replaced; upon the event's end and the character's awakening points being migrated, the system will automatically reset them and return them to the regular awakening tree.
2. Idol System Replaces Atlas
In Legacy of Phrecia, Atlas are completely replaced by the Idol system, one of the core features of this event.
Idols are special items that place buffs on the map, similar to passive Atlas nodes, and can be freely combined. Idols have different rarities and mod counts; for example, Magic Idols can have up to 2 mods, Rare Idols up to 4 mods, and Unique Idols have special effects, similar to certain rare Atlas Keystone effects. Unfortunately, Idols cannot be crafted using regular  PoE currency
, but they can drop from map bosses and can be combined in the Idol panel on the Map Device.
Unlike the old Atlas Tree, this system relies more on player mod choices. Interpretation and Combinations. The Idol system will not be migrated to the regular Atlas by the end of the event, but it can still be used for private league creation.
3. Map Region Mechanism Changes
Legacy of Phrecia introduces Map Modifiers. Each map region will randomly generate a set of map modifiers, with the number increasing as the region level increases. Difficult modifiers that could cause "build collapse," such as reflect, have been intentionally removed from the system.
4. BOSS and Enrage Mechanisms
Regular region bosses and some Pinnacle bosses have enhanced or newly added mechanics.All Unique monsters will enrage when entering a low-health phase, significantly increasing the difficulty and pace.
